Basketball Recap: Ridge Community's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Ridge Community ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 54-52 victory over the Lake Buena Vista Vipers. The Bolts have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Vipers, too.

Keymari Coates was the offensive standout of the match as he posted 12 points. Tarique Kennedy was another key player, putting up eight points.

Several Vipers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Travis Ligene, who had seven points along with five rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ronaldo Alcantara, who posted 12 points and five rebounds.

Ridge Community's win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-2. As for Lake Buena Vista, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Ridge Community didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 61-49 victory against Mulberry on the 5th. As for Lake Buena Vista, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 52-42 win against Tohopekaliga on the 6th.
