Volleyball Recap: St. Henry Falls Short Against Ranked Chaparral

St. Henry is ranked highly in their home state and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Chaparral. The Crusaders fell 2-0 to the Firebirds. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While St. Henry was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by exactly two points. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 26-24.

Despite the defeat, St. Henry saw an underclassman step up: freshman Kenadi Sieg had 11 digs and one assist. Sieg has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last three times she's played.

St. Henry's loss dropped their record down to 17-10. As for Chaparral, their win bumped their record up to 22-3.

St. Henry wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Perry on the 27th. As for Chaparral, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Gilbert Christian on the 27th.
