It was a good run, but Pine Prairie unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Anacoco Indians by a score of 1-0. The shutout was out of character for the Panthers seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in February.

Kynnedi Ware spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 21 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Pine Prairie saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Camron Lafleur, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Pine Prairie's loss dropped their record down to 27-4. As for Anacoco, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pine Prairie will challenge Mamou at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Anacoco, they will head out to challenge Many at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
