Softball Game Preview: Dublin Scioto Irish vs. Briggs Bruins

The Dublin Scioto Irish will challenge the Briggs Bruins at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Briggs took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Dublin Scioto, who comes in off a win.

Dublin Scioto was handed a nine-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Dublin Jerome, sneaking past 2-1.

Meanwhile, Briggs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 11-10 heartbreaker at the hands of Westland. Even if the Bruins couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Jessica Jimmy led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-4 with three runs. Rilee Flowers was another key player, going 2-for-5 with three RBI.

Dublin Scioto's win bumped their record up to 16-9. As for Briggs, their loss dropped their record down to 15-7.
