Recap: Southport Cardinals vs. Franklin Central Flashes
The Southport Cardinals's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Franklin Central at home and fell 62-26. Despite the loss, Southport still got an impressive performance from Lorelei bennett, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Southport's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-18. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.3 points per game. As for Franklin Central, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a massive bump to their 12-8 record this season.
Southport will head out on the road to face off against Greenfield-Central at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Franklin Central, they will be playing at home against Fishers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Fishers is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.
