Augusta entered their tilt with Winfield on Thursday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They were the clear victors by an 18-2 margin over the Vikings. That 16-run margin sets a new team best for the Orioles this season.

John Carrell looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.

At the plate, Kaleb Hulse and Jett Santoya did most of the damage at the plate: Hulse went a perfect 3-for-3 with six RBI, three doubles, and one stolen base, while Santoya got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. Those six RBI gave Hulse a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cade Camac, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Augusta was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .517. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Augusta's record now sits at 10-6. As for Winfield, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-15.

Augusta wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 5-1 win against Rose Hill on the 27th. As for Winfield, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-3 victory against El Dorado on the 27th.
