Football Recap: Whittemore-Prescott Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Whittemore-Prescott was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by the Alcona Tigers 40-8. The Cardinals lost against the Tigers in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 74-16 score last time.

Despite the loss, Whittemore-Prescott still got an impressive performance from Aiden Bell, who rushed for 171 yards and one TD.

Brandon Fogle had a dynamite game For Alcona., rushing for 251 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.6 yards per carry. Fogle is becoming a predictor of the Tigers' success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is 2-1 (and 0-4 when he doesn't).

Whittemore-Prescott's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Alcona, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-5.

Looking ahead, Whittemore-Prescott will face off against Heston Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last. As for Alcona, they will take on Rogers City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
