Softball Recap: Washington Takes a Loss

Washington extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping their season record down to 4-14 in the process. They came up short against the Fairfax Stampede, falling 28-4. The Rams were not able to make up for their defeat to the Stampede from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

As for Fairfax, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 16-6. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by seven runs or more this season.

For Fairfax's part, Reilley Bledsoe was a standout: she got on base in all six of her plate appearances with four runs, five RBI, and one triple. That's the most RBI Bledsoe has posted since back in March. Nia Hardin was another key player, going 4-for-6 with three runs, three doubles, and four RBI.

As of now, neither Washington nor Fairfax have any future games scheduled.
