Basketball Game Preview: Lincoln-Way West Warriors vs. Sandburg Eagles

Lincoln-Way West and Sandburg are an even 4-4 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Lincoln-Way West Warriors will venture away from home to challenge the Sandburg Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Lincoln-Way West was beaten by Lockport 70-40.

Meanwhile, Sandburg ended up a good deal behind Blue Island Eisenhower on Wednesday and lost 72-56. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lincoln-Way West has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-13 record this season. As for Sandburg, their loss dropped their record down to 14-13.

Lincoln-Way West didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Sandburg when the teams last played back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 57-51 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lincoln-Way West since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
