Bloomfield Hills is 0-9 against Clarkston since October of 2016 but things could change on Thursday. The Black Hawks will challenge the Wolves at 7:00 p.m. Bloomfield Hills will be strutting in after a win while Clarkston will be coming in after a defeat.
Bloomfield Hills took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Troy. The Black Hawks haven't had any issues with the Colts recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Bloomfield Hills walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-9, 25-16.
Bloomfield Hills can attribute much of their success to Julia Colosimo, who had five digs and four aces. That's the most aces Colosimo has posted since back in August.
Colosimo wasn't the only good servers: Bloomfield Hills was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Clarkston didn't have quite enough to beat Stoney Creek on Tuesday and fell 3-2.
Clarkston actually scored more points across those five sets (109-102), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-22, 17-25, 17-25, 18-16.
Bloomfield Hills' record is now 32-4. As for Clarkston, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 23-3.
Bloomfield Hills couldn't quite get it done against Clarkston in their previous meeting on Saturday as they fell 2-0. Can the Black Hawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
