Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Waupaca walked away with it. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Medford Raiders on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Comets sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.

Waupaca was especially dominant in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-27, 25-21, 25-8.

Leading Waupaca to victory were Sage Soto and Ava Adamczak. Soto had 15 digs and one assist, while Adamczak had six digs, five aces, and one block. Soto is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

They weren't the only good servers: Waupaca was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 12 consecutive matchups.

Waupaca's victory bumped their record up to 24-10. As for Medford, with the defeat, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 18-17.

Waupaca wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Lakeland on the 25th. Medford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
