Northeastern put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They really took it to the Union City Indians for the full four quarters, racking up a 71-33 win. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Northeastern got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Noah Payne out in front who made all 8 shots he took racking up 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tre Vanlandingham, who went 6 of 8 on his way to 14 points along with seven assists and three steals.

Northeastern was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Union City only racked up eight assists.

When it comes to explaining why Union City lost, don't look at Jackson Cowper. Despite the final result, he posted ten points and four steals. The dominant performance gave Cowper a new career-high in steals. Another player making a difference was Colton Emerick, who put up five points.

Northeastern's win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-0. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.1 points per game. As for Union City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.

Northeastern didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 67-48 victory against Knightstown on the 18th. Union City has also already played their next game (against Arcanum), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
