St. Maries made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Grangeville, but they still couldn't quite topple them. St. Maries blew past Grangeville 14-6 on Tuesday. The victory was nothing new for the Lumberjacks as they're now sitting on three straight.
Addyson Stewart made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. What's more, she gave up only one walk, the fewest she's had since back in March of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she hit this season.
In other batting news, Madison Thomas was excellent, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Addilynn Turner, who scored a run while going 3-for-5.
St. Maries' win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Grangeville, their loss ended a ten-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-5.
