Gordon Central extended their winning streak to five on Friday, bumping them up to 5-0. They walked away with a 25-13 victory over the Coosa Eagles. The Warriors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Leading Gordon Central to victory were Brandon Thomas and TreVeyon Bigby. Thomas rushed for 86 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, while Bigby rushed for 44 yards and one score. Thomas also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making three total tackles and defending one pass.

As for Coosa, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4. Eagles fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against Gordon Central since Friday.

Although Coosa took the loss, they still got scores from Timbo Mitchell and Jaxson Shell.

Gordon Central has already played their next matchup, a 42-21 defeat against Fannin County on the 26th. As for Coosa, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 49-21 loss against Christian Heritage on the 26th.
