The Whitesboro Bearcats will be home for the holidays to greet the Paradise Panthers at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Whitesboro has not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They enjoyed a cozy 41-26 victory over Howe on Thursday. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Whitesboro has managed all season.
Ponder typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Paradise proved too difficult a challenge. They managed a 48-43 win over the Lions.
Paradise's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Channing Beauvais, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Mitschke, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds.
Whitesboro has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 3-6 record this season. As for Paradise, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-4.
Whitesboro strolled past Paradise in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 41-25. Does Whitesboro have another victory up their sleeve, or will Paradise turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
