Softball Game Preview: North Tahoe Lakers vs. Silver Stage Nighthawks

North Tahoe hasn't had much luck against Silver Stage recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Lakers will head out on the road to take on the Nighthawks at 4:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

North Tahoe played against Oasis Academy on Saturday and lost via forfeit.

Silver Stage is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Saturday. They came up short against Yerington, falling 16-1. That's two games in a row now that the Nighthawks have lost by exactly 15 runs.

Silver Stage saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Erika Victorio, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Silver Stage's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for North Tahoe, they are on a 34-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.

North Tahoe might still be hurting after the 15-0 loss they got from Silver Stage in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Lakers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
