Peyton Tengesdahl made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season.
In other batting news, Xavier Hargrave was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Jose Ortiz was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run.
Wayne always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
