After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Oliver Springs, Eagleton College & Career Academy was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They blew past the Oneida Indians 11-1. The result was nothing new for the Royals, who have now won nine matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.
Karli Brabson made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, one triple, and one double. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Eagleton College & Career Academy got a big performance out of Kyla Long, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4. What's more, Long posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Murrell, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3.
Eagleton College & Career Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Oneida only posted a batting average of .238.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eagleton College & Career Academy will take on Gatlinburg-Pittman at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
