Basketball Recap: Old Town Takes a Loss

After flying high against Foxcroft Academy last Friday, Old Town came back down to earth. The Old Town Coyotes took a 45-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Orono Riots on Monday. The contest marked the Coyotes' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Old Town's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Orono, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Old Town will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Ellsworth at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Ellsworth knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Old Town likes a good challenge. As for Orono, they will finish 2024 at home by hosting Presque Isle at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
