Softball Recap: Bell City Takes a Loss

Bell City scored the most runs they've had this season on Wednesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the Iowa Yellowjackets by a score of 15-13. The loss continues a trend for the Bruins in their meetings with the Yellowjackets: they've now lost six in a row.

Emma Williams made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in hits. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryann Landry, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Bell City now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Iowa, their victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bell City will host Lacassine at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Iowa, they will be playing at home against Washington-Marion at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
