After a string of four wins, the Stanton County Trojans's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 54-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ulysses. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Stanton County has scored all season.

Stanton County lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being David Crane, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds. Crane also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Juan Aleman, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds.

Stanton County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-1. As for Ulysses, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stanton County will be home for the holidays to greet Lakin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lakin presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Stanton County in Kansas (Lakin is ranked 18th, while Stanton County is ranked 81st). Ulysses will be home for the holidays to greet Southwestern Heights at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Southwestern Heights is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
