Two dominant  signal callers in  Youngmin Lee and  Brady Scott are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Tolleson Wolverines are taking a road trip to  challenge the Canyon View Jaguars  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Tolleson has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the  contest with three straight  losses, while Canyon View will come in with three straight  victories.
Tolleson came up short against  Verrado on Friday, falling  63-38. The Wolverines gained 62 more yards on the day, but it was the Vipers that made the best use of them.

 Tolleson might have lost, but man,  Rico Blassingame was a machine:  he picked up 169 receiving yards and three  scores. With that strong performance,  Blassingame is now averaging an impressive 107.4  receiving yards per game. Tolleson also got help from  Quentin Gavin, who showed off his sure hands for 112  receiving yards.
Meanwhile,  it was a proper cat-fight when Canyon View duked it out with Millennium on Friday. The Jaguars walked away with  a   44-37  win over the Tigers.
Canyon View's win came from a few key players Tolleson will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was  Dj Sims Jr., who rushed for 88 yards and one  touchdown, and also picked up 45 receiving yards and one  TD.  Braylon Anderson was another key receiver, picking up 70 receiving yards and a pair of  scores.
 Canyon View's defensive line made their presence known, laying out  Rayden Reibel three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess:  Jackson McCarthy,  David (Tiki) Teeples,  and  Andres Fierros, who each picked up one  sack apiece. Canyon View got some further help from  Rece Landis: he made 13 total tackles (5.0 for loss).
 Tolleson's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Canyon View, their record is now 7-2.

Thankfully for the Wolverines,  Demari Colbert (who picked up 95 receiving yards and one  TD, and also rushed for 39 yards and one  touchdown) won't be suiting up this time.
