Volleyball Recap: Mooresville Takes a Tough Playoff Loss + How To Watch

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Mooresville couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Cox Mill Chargers by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blue Devils of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Mooresville wouldn't go down easily and took Cox Mill into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 26-28, 25-18, 25-18, 16-25, 15-13.

Gia Lowe paced Mooresville's offense, picking up 23 kills. Lowe got some help from Siena DiTomas and her 38 assists. DiTomas was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Mooresville's defeat dropped their record down to 20-7. As for Cox Mill, their win was their 18th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 27-1.

Mooresville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cox Mill, they will challenge Marvin Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
