Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Notre Dame couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Geneseo Blue Devils by a score of 7-6 on Sunday. The Fighting Irish's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Adyn Horzempa made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Chase Antinore was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Notre Dame's loss dropped their record down to 15-5. As for Geneseo, the victory was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-4.

Notre Dame does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Geneseo, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 7-6 win against Notre Dame Academy on the 25th.
