Volleyball Game Preview: Christian Community Warriors vs. Mentor Christian

Christian Community and Mentor Christian are an even 4-4 against one another since September of 2017, but not for long. The Warriors will venture away from home to square off against Mentor Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Christian Community is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Christian Community is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest defeat since September 12th on Tuesday. They came up short against First Baptist Christian, falling 3-0. The shutout was out of character for the Warriors seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.

Christian Community was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 27-25, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Mentor Christian came up short against Andrews Osborne Academy on Friday and fell 3-1. Mentor Christian has struggled against Andrews Osborne Academy recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

The final score came out to 25-9, 21-25, 25-19, 25-19.

Christian Community's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Mentor Christian, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Christian Community suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Mentor Christian when the teams last played back in September of 2024. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
