            Softball Preview: Waunakee Warriors vs. Milton Red Hawks        
        
		
        
        
            The Waunakee Warriors will square off against the Milton Red Hawks at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. The timing is sure in Waunakee's favor as the  squad sits on four straight wins at home while Milton has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
On Thursday, Waunakee got the win against Janesville Parker  by a conclusive  8-2.

 Zaria Hyman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two  runs (both of which were unearned)  on three hits and racked up eight Ks. Those eight  strikeouts set a new season-high mark for  her.
 On the hitting side,  Ryla Ripp was  excellent,  going 2-for-4 with two  doubles, two  RBI,  and one  run. Those  two  doubles gave  her a new career-high.
 They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Waunakee  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 12  hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Janesville Parker only managed three  hits.
 Meanwhile, Milton didn't have quite enough to beat DeForest on Tuesday and fell  4-3.
 Waunakee's victory bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Milton, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.
