Softball Recap: Milford Central Victorious

Milford Central won the last time they faced South Kortright Central and things went their way on Thursday too. The Wildcats came out on top against the Rams by a score of 10-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Brooke Mann made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off ten hits (and not a single walk). Mann was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Bella Garlick, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games she's played. Lexi Sutphin was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Milford Central's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for South Kortright Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
