Basketball Recap: Frassati Catholic Takes a Loss

Frassati Catholic lost against The Woodlands Christian Academy on January 10th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Frassati Catholic Falcons came up short against The Woodlands Christian Academy Warriors, falling 64-44. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 977th, while the Warriors are ranked 135th).

Frassati Catholic's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-14. As for The Woodlands Christian Academy, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 21-7.

Frassati Catholic will venture away from home to challenge Cypress Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Frassati Catholic is facing Cypress Christian at the right time seeing as Cypress Christian is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for The Woodlands Christian Academy, they will welcome Kelly Catholic on Friday. The Woodlands Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Kelly Catholic likes a good challenge.
