Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Marshfield

Marshfield won against Eau Claire North on Friday with four runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Tigers had just enough and edged out the D.C. Everest Evergreens 4-3. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Molly Fox spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on nine hits.

On the hitting side, Madison Kraus was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs.

Marshfield's win bumped their record up to 12-8. As for D.C. Everest, the defeat snapped their winning streak at 20 games and leaves them with a 20-2 record.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Marshfield will take on rival Stevens Point at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, D.C. Everest is set to challenge their familiar foe Merrill at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
