Recap: Fleming Wildcats vs. Genoa-Hugo/Karval Pirates        
        
		
            
 The Fleming Wildcats waltzed into their matchup  on Saturday with two straight wins  but they left with three. They strolled past Genoa-Hugo/Karval with  points to spare, taking the game  47-31. That's another feather in the cap for Fleming, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
  Madi Serrato was nothing short of spectacular: she  scored 20 points along with five  rebounds and three  steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  she has scored all season.  Ashley Bornhoft was another key contributor,  scoring eight points along with five  rebounds and two  steals.
 Genoa-Hugo/Karval's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Rylee Corn, who  scored eight points along with seven  rebounds and two  blocks. It was the first time this season that  Corn  posted two or more  blocks. Another player making a difference was  Kazlei Vaughn, who  scored six points.
 Fleming's win was  their sixth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 10-4. Those good results were due in large part to their  offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 55.3 points per game. As for Genoa-Hugo/Karval, they have  not been sharp recently as the team's  lost seven of their last eight matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.
 Fleming will look to defend their home court  on Friday against McClave at 4:00  p.m. Genoa-Hugo/Karval's road trip will continue as they head out to face Deer Trail at 4:00  p.m.  on February 9th.
