Last Monday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Riverfield Country Day beat Carney 32-27. The win was just what Riverfield Country Day needed coming off of a 53-16 loss in their prior matchup.
Riverfield Country Day found their leader in underclassman Nicya Moore, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Katy Coutant, who scored five points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Indianola's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They fell 46-38 to Midway.
Riverfield Country Day's win bumped their record up to 3-17. As for Indianola, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record this season.
