Softball Game Preview: White County Central Bears vs. Bradford Eagles

The White County Central Bears will venture away from home to square off against the Bradford Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with eight consecutive losses for White County Central and three for Bradford.

Mt. Vernon-Enola hit White County Central with a five-run sixth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bears lost 10-4 to the Warhawks.

White County Central saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hannah Blagg, who went 3-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Carrigan Cude also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Meanwhile, Bradford came up short against Bald Knob on Monday, falling 23-2.

White County Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Bradford, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

White County Central couldn't quite get it done against Bradford in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 as they fell 6-2. Can the Bears avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
