Basketball Recap: Admiral Farragut Takes a Loss

If Admiral Farragut was riding high fresh off their 66-43 takedown of Out-of-Door Academy last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Admiral Farragut BlueJackets came up short against the Northside Christian Mustangs on Friday, falling 72-52. The BlueJackets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-17.

Northside Christian found their leader in sophomore Elijah Ahlers, who dropped a double-double on 36 points and 11 boards. The matchup was Ahlers' 14th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jon Myers, who posted 16 points along with five boards and three steals.

Admiral Farragut's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Northside Christian, their record is now 7-8.

Admiral Farragut will host Keswick Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Keswick Christian will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Admiral Farragut surely won't give up without a fight. As for Northside Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Carrollwood Day at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Northside Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.1 points per game this season.
