Brillion suffered their biggest loss since October 24, 2024 on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to the Valders Vikings. The Lions' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Brillion took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-19, 25-22.

Carter Miller paced Brillion's offense, picking up nine kills. Miller got some help from Reina Eijtjes and her 22 assists. Finally, Emma Schuh kept Brillion's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Valders' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Audrey Wagner led the charge by getting 12 assists and seven digs. That's the most digs Wagner has posted over her last eight matches. The team also got some help courtesy of Mariah McCulley, who had 12 digs.

Brillion's loss dropped their record down to 19-4. As for Valders, their victory bumped their record up to 20-9.

Looking ahead, after both having extra time off, Brillion and Roncalli will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Valders, they are taking a road trip to square off against Chilton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
