Recap: Grace Christian Academy Crusaders vs. Clifton Central Comets
The Grace Christian Academy Crusaders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 48-33 fall against Clifton Central. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Grace Christian Academy in their matchups with the Comets: they've now lost three in a row.
Grace Christian Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Natalie Dalton, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and six steals, and Angelina Larsen who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Larsen also posted two blocks for the first time this season.
Even though they lost, Grace Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. This was only their 12th loss (out of 18 games) when they hit their own glass that hard.
Grace Christian Academy dropped their record down to 8-16 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Clifton Central, the win got them back to even at 12-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grace Christian Academy will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Hopefully Manteno focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 last Wednesday.
