Football Game Recap: Columbia Montour Vo-Tech Rams vs. Hanover Area Hawkeyes

Columbia Montour Vo-Tech extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 3-5. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 63-0 to the Hanover Area Hawkeyes, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Rams lost against the Hawkeyes in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 56-44 score last time.

As for Hanover Area, the victory got them back to even at 4-4. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Dewayne Downey produced another solid performance rushing for 81 yards and four touchdowns on only five carries. Those four rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Dawin Downey was another key back, rushing for 48 yards and a pair of scores.

Coming up, Columbia Montour Vo-Tech will be playing at home against Holy Redeemer at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Rams will be up against the Royals' rather soft defense (which has allowed 43 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Hanover Area, they will head out to face off against Lake-Lehman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
