Brookwood won the last time they faced Chiles and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Brookwood Warriors blew past the Chiles Timberwolves 47-27. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 20 points or more this season.

Brookwood got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Abigail Squires out in front who posted nine points in addition to eight boards and three blocks. The dominant performance gave Squires a new career-high in blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Rhodes, who put up ten points.

Brookwood smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in four consecutive contests.

Brookwood's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 14-7. As for Chiles, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.

Brookwood and Chiles could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in their respective state rankings. Brookwood (ranked 248th) will meet Terrell Academy (ranked 80th) at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Brookwood is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. Meanwhile, Chiles will challenge Madison County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday down 231 places (454 vs. 223).
