After having lost a blowout in their previous game against West Feliciana, Port Allen was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Liberty Magnet Patriots as Port Allen made off with a 22-7 victory. The result was nothing new for the Pelicans, who have now won five contests by 14 runs or more so far this season.

Port Allen's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-8. As for Liberty Magnet, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Port Allen will host Phoenix at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Liberty Magnet, they will square off against Scotlandville at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Scotlandville has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18 runs per game on average), something Liberty Magnet will no doubt try to take advantage of.
