Soccer Game Preview: Ignacio vs. Bayfield

Ignacio is 0-10 against Bayfield since May of 2016 but things could change on Thursday. The Bobcats will head out to square off against the Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. Ignacio has given up an average of 9.9 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Ignacio is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their ninth straight game on Saturday. They lost 10-0 to Ridgway.

Bayfield had taken Pagosa Springs down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Wolverines fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 1-0. Bayfield's loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Bayfield's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Ignacio, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.

Ignacio might still be hurting after the 9-0 defeat they got from Bayfield in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Bobcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
