Soccer Recap: Richland County vs. Mt. Vernon
Richland County came into Wednesday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They had just enough and edged the Mt. Vernon Rams out 2-1. The win was just what Richland County needed coming off of a 5-1 defeat in their prior contest.
Richland County's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Mt. Vernon, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-4-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Richland County will challenge Salem at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mt. Vernon, they will head out on the road to square off against Marion at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
