Basketball Recap: WISH Academy Victorious

The WISH Academy Owls beat the Middle College Cougars 56-46 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Owls.

Noah Tureaud was the offensive standout of the game as he almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Ahren Austin, who posted 13 points.

Despite the loss, Middle College still got an impressive performance from Haidyn Lakey, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and ten rebounds. Jaron Carter was another key player, putting up ten points and seven boards.

WISH Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Middle College, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

WISH Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 69-45 defeat against Arleta on the 3rd. As for Middle College, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 68-27 win against Horace Mann UCLA Community on the 3rd.
