Basketball Recap: Anthony Sanchez and Ernesto Ochoa Secure Win for Hill

Hill won the last time they faced James Lick and things went their way on Friday too. The Hill Falcons walked away with a 61-52 victory over the James Lick Comets. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.

Leading Hill to victory were Ernesto Ochoa and Anthony Sanchez. Ochoa dropped a double-double on 20 points and 15 boards, while Sanchez went 5 for 7 en route to 12 points along with six assists and six steals. Ochoa's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicolas Huerta, who posted 13 points and six assists.

Hill smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in four consecutive contests.

Hill's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-14. As for James Lick, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.

Hill will square off against San Jose at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hill is facing San Jose at the right time seeing as San Jose is stuck on a 14-game losing streak. James Lick has already played their next game (against Del Mar), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
