Basketball Game Preview: Blackduck Drakes vs. Clearbrook-Gonvick Bears

After both having extra time off, the Blackduck Drakes and the Clearbrook-Gonvick Bears will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Clearbrook-Gonvick took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Blackduck, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Blackduck turned things around against Red Lake last Friday. They breezed by the Warriors to the tune of 66-24. The Drakes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 38 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Clearbrook-Gonvick came up short against Bagley two weeks ago and fell 57-45.

Clearbrook-Gonvick dropped their record down to 2-6 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Blackduck, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6.

Everything came up roses for Blackduck against Clearbrook-Gonvick when the teams last played back in February, as the squad secured a 74-39 win. Will Blackduck repeat their success, or does Clearbrook-Gonvick have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
