In what's become a running theme this season, Trenton Catholic Academy gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 56-29 victory over Holy Cross. Given Trenton Catholic Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 45th, while Holy Cross is ranked 174th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Trenton Catholic Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mayah Alford, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. Alford is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Saniyah Spell, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and five assists.

Trenton Catholic Academy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. As for Holy Cross, they now have a losing record at 10-11.

Trenton Catholic Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Holy Cross, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Camden Catholic at 5:15 p.m.
