Softball Recap: Eagan Comes Up Short

Eagan managed to slip by Prior Lake the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Wildcats came up short against the Lakers on Friday, falling 8-2. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lakers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Sydney Holt made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Eagan now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Prior Lake, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Coming up, Eagan will venture away from home to square off against Two Rivers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Prior Lake, they will welcome Lakeville North at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Lakers are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
