Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Gabriel Estabillo and Keenan Yang Lead East Union to Victory

East Union had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. Everything went their way against the Patterson Tigers as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in March.

East Union was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-10, 25-23.

Leading East Union to victory were Keenan Yang and Gabriel Estabillo. Yang had 14 digs and six assists, while Estabillo had eight kills and one block. That's the most assists Yang has posted since back in March.

East Union's victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Patterson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.

East Union and Patterson could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Lancers will take on Manteca at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank disadvantage (524 vs. 222). Meanwhile, Patterson (ranked 698th) will meet Mountain House (ranked 155th) at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
