Football Recap: Lakewood Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Lakewood played a tough game on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 43-6 loss at the hands of the Vista PEAK Prep Bison. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-0.

When it comes to explaining why Lakewood lost, don't look at Rickey Anthony. Despite the final result, he picked up 98 receiving yards and one TD.

Tyrone Smiley produced another solid performance rushing for 182 yards and three scores for Vista PEAK Prep. Smiley really tore up the turf during one magnificent 94-yard run. Isaiah Watson was in the mix too, providing Vista PEAK Prep with two touchdowns.

Lakewood's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Vista PEAK Prep, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Coming up, Lakewood will head out to square off against Fountain-Fort Carson at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th. As for Vista PEAK Prep, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Denver South at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
