Recap: White Longhorns vs. Turner Lions
The White Longhorns fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They blew past Turner, posting a 63-28 win on the road. The result was nothing new for White, who have now won three matches by 35 points or more so far this season.
Jose Elisondo and Jonathan Moreno, Turner certainly did their beston Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Elisondo gained 111 total yards and two touchdowns, while Moreno rushed for 45 yards and a touchdown.
White has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Turner, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Newman Smith the next time they take the field. White will host Newman Smith at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Turner will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd.
