Baseball Preview: St. Joseph Spartans vs. Winchester Thurston

Things were looking good for St. Joseph after they put the first points on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell victim to a rough 10-3 defeat at the hands of Western Beaver.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Winchester Thurston, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on April 9th. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Aquinas Academy 6-4.

Mason Witten and Sam McComb were a major factor no matter where they played. On the mound, Witten struck out six batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, McComb tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
