Softball Recap: Sullivan Takes a Loss

If Sullivan was feeling good fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Brown County on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Golden Arrows fell 8-5 to the South Putnam Eagles on Thursday. The Golden Arrows were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Sullivan's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for South Putnam, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sullivan will face off against Northview at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Putnam, they will square off against North Central at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles are facing the Thunderbirds at the right time seeing as the Thunderbirds are stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
